Laudatio zum 65ten Geburtstag von Peter Hackl, Peter Hackl und die Österreichische Statistische Gesellschaft

Abstract

Der altösterreichische Schriftsteller Leo Perutz sagte einmal anlässlich einer ihm angetragenen Geburtstagsehrung: “Ich habe wenig Verständnis für die Erhabenheit durch
5 teilbarer Ziffern (sic) des dekadischen Zahlensystems.” Wiewohl man als Statistiker
diese Einschätzung eines fast Berufskollegen - Perutz war lange Zeit Versicherungsmathematiker - teilen mag, ist es mir heute ein großes Vergnügen, sie anlässlich des kürzlich stattgefundenen 65ten Geburtstags von Generaldirektor Univ.Prof. Dr.Dr.hc. Peter Hackl einfach mal beiseite zu lassen. Ich hoffe, dass für ihn als gebürtiger Oberösterreicher dieses wunderbare Ambiente der Linzer Redoutensäle ein ausreichendes Gegenargument darstellt.
